Delta Gamma is more than just a collegiate experience; it is a lifetime of commitment, support and opportunity awaiting you. It marks the beginning of a relationship that will last for a lifetime. The Delta Gamma Jackson Alumnae Chapter was chartered by the Delta Gamma Council in 1954. This means that we recently celebrated 60 years of sisters "Doing Good" in the Jackson area!
Our membership consists of more than 1,000 DG alumnae living in the Hinds, Rankin and Madison county areas, as well as the Natchez area. Our chapter sponsors six events each year for our area alumnae. Our events provide opportunities for DGs from across the state of Mississippi to gather in Jackson to renew old friendships as well as meet new Delta Gamma sisters.
Our alumnae chapter assists our three collegiate chapters: Alpha Psi at The University of Mississippi, Delta Pi at The University of Southern Mississippi and Delta Lambda at Mississippi State University. The Chapter Board, the leadership of the alumnae chapter, serves for a two-year period, beginning July 1 of each odd year. Additional opportunities to serve and participate in leadership positions include chairing or serving as a hostess for one of our six events or serving on an ad hoc committee appointed by the Board.
